Because scripture says, <\/span><em><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">\u201c...He has also set eternity in the human heart\u2026\u201d <\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">Ecclesiastes 3:11<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">Everyone prays because there will always be <\/span><strong><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">a desire to connect with the unseen spiritual realm<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">. Eternity was God-breathed into each of us as we were formed and therefore, whether we understand it or not, there will forever be a need to satisfy this part of our being.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">Does everyone pray with the correct direction and approach? Of course not. <\/span><strong><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">Not even do the vast majority of Christians pray effectively<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">! As Jesus put it, \u201c<\/span><em><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others.\u201d<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\"> Matthew 6:5<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">So, there\u2019s one answer already. We should pray because <\/span><strong><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">very few are doing it right<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">!<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">If you\u2019re reading this, it\u2019s more than likely that you understand that you are praying to God, your heavenly Father. That\u2019s a great start! Y<\/span><strong><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">ou\u2019ve got an advantage over billions of people right there<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">!<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">But do you understand who He is? Do you understand who you are to Him?<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">Here\u2019s where prayer starts to change.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">If you\u2019ve chosen to believe on Jesus for your Salvation, then y<\/span><strong><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">ou have been adopted by God as His child<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">. He no longer sees you like those who lived under the law, constantly in need of atonement, but as His own Son. In your Spirit, you are made holy so that,<\/span><em><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\"> \u201c...in him we might become the righteousness of God.\u201d<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\"> 2 Corinthians 5:21<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">This is what enables us to obey the call of, <\/span><em><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">\u201c...come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.\u201d <\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">Hebrews 4:16<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">Before, when man had a relationship with God via the Law, <\/span><strong><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">prayer was not the same as we can know it now<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">. We\u2019ve gone from Hebrews 9:7, <\/span><em><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">\u201cBut only the high priest entered the inner room, and that only once a year, and never without blood\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\"> to 1 John 4:12-13, <\/span><em><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">\u201cGod lives in us and his love is made complete in us. We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">The death and resurrection of Christ brought about the most dynamic changes that the Universe has ever experienced. <\/span><strong><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">Prayer was forever changed<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\"> because now all of us are sanctified to not only enter the Holy of Holies like a high priest but to carry that Holy of Holies wherever we go.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">So, why should you pray?
