One of my favourite things about the nature of Christ is His cunning. <\/span>Jesus was a mastermind tactician<\/span><\/strong>!<\/span><\/p>

This became even more apparent to me recently when my Bible study took a pleasant venture off course into Luke 13.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

While it may not be the most powerful of revelations, Christ\u2019s demonstration of His insight and foresight left me thinking once again, <\/span>\u201cWow! I wish I could be as smart as Jesus\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>

In that part of the world at the time, traditional homes were built with a porch\/stable as the entrance. Here, animals were brought in from the cold and tied securely close to the owner to protect against theft. <\/span>Each morning, the owner would untie his animals<\/span><\/strong> and lead them to water. These animals were treated with great care due to what they could provide for a family.<\/span><\/p>

It might not stand out to most but it makes great sense as we read on because the Pharisees were circling like vultures - waiting for this so-called Messiah to break the Sabbath rules.<\/span><\/p>

However, matching their ferocity, <\/span>Jesus responds<\/span><\/strong>, <\/span>\u201cThou hypocrite! Doth not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall and lead him away to watering?\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>

Jesus knew the Pharisees\u2019 angle long before He came to the suffering woman. His choice of words was not only to heal her but to <\/span>turn the Pharisees\u2019 own plan against them<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>

You see, instead of suffering public ridicule for breaching Jewish law, instead, <\/span>Jesus exposed those self-righteous hypocrites<\/span><\/strong> to the tense crowd about them who were eagerly waiting for a verdict.<\/span><\/p>

I don\u2019t know about you but I like to think that I would have joined in with the observers of this scene as described in verse 17, <\/span>\u201cAnd when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>

But that\u2019s not the end of our story. Yes, Jesus demonstrated amazing abilities, both strategical and supernatural but <\/span>these things are not exclusive to Him<\/span><\/strong>. My wish above of \u201cbeing as smart as Jesus\u201d isn\u2019t so far fetched.<\/span><\/p>

Paul tells us something truly amazing in 1 Corinthians 2:16, <\/span>\u201c\u2026but we have the mind of Christ.\u201d <\/span><\/em>Combine this with 1 John 2:20 and <\/span>it starts to get exciting<\/span><\/strong>! <\/span>\u201cBut ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>

With the Holy Spirit on our side, guiding us, we too can turn the plans of our enemies against them and <\/span>bring glory to God<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>
