So much so, it\u2019s caused me near-incapacitating anxiety.<\/p><p>I want to achieve 110% at everything I do. But because this is hardly ever possible, <strong>I put off trying almost anything.<\/strong> If I can\u2019t get it right the first time, then I will likely just not try.<\/p><p>Maybe you\u2019re reading this thinking, <em>\u201cThat\u2019s so silly of him.\u201d<\/em> If so, I completely agree with you! Or, maybe you read that and thought, <em>\u201cWow\u2026that\u2019s me.\u201d<\/em> I hope not but if you did, then <strong>the following will change your life\u2026<\/strong><\/p><p>Of all the things we do in our life, <strong>the most important of all<\/strong> <strong>is as Jesus said<\/strong> in Matthew 22:37, <em>\u201cThou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all your mind.\u201d<\/em><\/p><p>If that\u2019s the case, let me make this statement: <strong>God doesn\u2019t ever ask for you to be perfect at anything.<\/strong><\/p><p>Why? Because <strong>you can\u2019t be.<\/strong><\/p><p>God asks for one thing from us and that\u2019s <strong>relationship.<\/strong> He desires that we choose to desire Him, loving Him because He first loved us.<\/p><p>Is that not so <strong>freeing?<\/strong><\/p><p>Our Spirit might be as perfect as God\u2019s Spirit is because they are one and the same but<strong> we experience failure<\/strong> because our Soul is still conforming to the image of Christ. This is the lifelong experience of a believer and <strong>it should be embraced.<\/strong><\/p><p>God calls us not to achieve righteousness but to simply <strong>hunger and thirst for it.<\/strong><\/p><p>If we were to look at the \u201chall of fame\u201d in Scripture, Hebrews 11, we\u2019d see all the names of mighty men and women who acted in <strong>faith and obedience to God,<\/strong> achieving great exploits.<\/p><p>However, Moses was a <strong>murderer<\/strong>, Elijah was <strong>suicidal<\/strong> and David committed <strong>adultery<\/strong> before having a man <strong>killed<\/strong> to cover it up!<\/p><p>We can frame those acts as failures but according to God, <strong>they didn\u2019t define who these men were.<\/strong> They hungered and thirsted after righteousness. For example, it says that David was a man after God\u2019s own heart.<\/p><p>If perfection was necessary, then we\u2019d all be doomed!
