When Paul wrote the Galatians, he didn\u2019t hold anything back. This letter was written by the world\u2019s leading expert on Grace<\/strong> and yet the expression of Paul\u2019s wording is almost vicious in places and sure to be offensive to many even today.<\/p>

My Dad gave a great teaching on Galatians at our church last Sunday. I especially love Paul\u2019s question in chapter 4<\/strong> - is he considered an enemy for telling the truth?<\/p>

In a world where nearly every enterprise, organisation and even entire governments pander to the whims and so-called \u201ctruths\u201d of the mentally deficient and confused, never has it been more important to differentiate friend and foe<\/strong> with this question.<\/p>

But what is the truth?<\/strong> How can we differentiate when we are bombarded with the idiotic propaganda of, \u201cLive your truth.\u201d <\/em><\/p>

Thankfully, it\u2019s simple<\/strong>.<\/p>

Jesus said, \u201c\u2026I am the way, the truth, and the life,\u201d<\/em> in John 14:16 and in John 17:17 He also says, \u201cSanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

So where can we be sure of truth? Scripture: The Living Word of God.<\/strong><\/p>

But I warn you. <\/strong>The more you resolve to living by God\u2019s Word, the fewer friends you will have. You will be even hated for His name\u2019s sake as it says in Matthew 10:22.<\/p>

However, great will your reward in heaven<\/strong> be.<\/p>

Matthew 5:11-12, \u201cBlessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

Where truth is not honoured, there will only be slaves to deception.<\/strong> And where we do not correct in love those who press on us to join in their self-inflicted slavery to lies, we allow ourselves to also be bound by the father of all lies,<\/strong> Jesus\u2019 title for satan in John 8:44, \u201c\u2026for he is a liar, and the father of it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

Speak the truth and you will live in freedom.<\/strong> John 8:32, \u201c\u2026the truth will set you free.\u201d <\/em>And balance this with Colossians 4:6, \u201cLet your speech be alway with grace\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>

To summarise, a life that is committed to living in truth attracts persecution. However, it is promised that those who stand for truth are to be blessed for eternity and live in freedom.<\/strong> I say that\u2019s a good deal!<\/p>
